The Flood of 1927 has affected many lives, the main ones being affected by this was the black community. They had to not only go through inequality, but they had to go through living conditions that just were not right for families. They had to live in little rooms with a family of about 6. Lets say, the Mother, the Father, then the 3 siblings. That’s the normal average family, but what about the ones who live with their grandfathers or grandmothers, and on top of that their aunties or uncles. The Flood has caused them to move into an extremely cramped room. The family in the image were ones who suffered from this as well. This family had only 1 bed in their room for a mother, a young daughter, the oldest but still young daughter, and lastly, the poor baby. Not only did they only have 1 bed to share but they have their own laundry hanging in their own room where it should usually be in your backyard or just have a dryer for it. This family has only a small space from the bed to the cabinets for them to walk as it looks like they barely fit there. But what else can you do when you have been segregated and moved out of your own home land because of this flood.
